Miley Cyrus Stole The Stage With Her Iconic Performance Of 'Midnight Sky' At The 2020 VMAs

Cyrus came in like a wrecking ball at her iconic performance at the 2020 MTV VMAs.

Miley Cyrus has just stolen the stage at the 2020 VMAs, coming in like a wrecking ball (again, icnonic) with an insane performance delivering the world-first premiere of her new single "Midnight Sky", which dropped earlier this month.

This was Miley's 5th performance at the VMAs. Over the years she’s become a VMA veteran, giving the show iconic moment after iconic moment.

Although she had attended the VMAs as a presenter and nominee in years prior, Miley Cyrus made her VMA performance debut in 2013 when she performed her song "We Can’t Stop", before joining Robin Thicke on stage for ‘Blurred Lines’ and twerking her way into pop culture history.

In 2015 she took the stage alongside band The Flaming Lips and contestants from RuPaul’s Drag Race to perform her up until then unheard song "Dooo It!". She also took the change on stage to announce that her latest album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, was available for free online.

In 2017 Miley returned to the stage once more, returning to her country roots with her performance of the title track and second single off her album Younger Now. Then, last year, she took to the stage again to blow us all away with a soulful rendition of her stand-alone single "Slide Away", which had dropped only days before.
