We can always rely on the sweet dark princes from My Chemical Romance to help the world in its hour of need.

If you head over to the band's official store you can now cop a special edition face mask with all proceeds going to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund which has been set up to help those in the music community who have been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The "My Chemical Romance Desert Screening Device Face Masks" are black featuring a white graphic of two teeth and is a tribute to Lauren Valencia, their former manager who sadly passed away from cancer in 2019. 

In true MCR form the product description is as poetic as you'd imagine, describing the face mask as an item "to keep you dust-free in the desert, a show that never happened, never will, a protection that then seemed timeworn.” 

This very helpful merch comes after the band were forced to cancel their Australia and New Zealand tour dates amid growing concerns around the safety of their crew travelling during the COVID-19 outbreak.

While it might not be the same thing as seeing them live, at least these face masks will tie us over until this nightmare is finished.
