Michelle Williams Announces She Has Checked Into A Rehab Facility
Former Destiny's Child star, Michelle Williams, has released a statement today confirming she has checked into a rehab facility.
The 37-year-old told fans she is seeking treatment to deal with depression after suffering from mental health issues since she was a teenager.
"For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it's time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your wellbeing," she said. "Today I proudly, happily and healthily stand here as someone who will continue to always lead by example as I tirelessly advocate for the betterment of those in need."
Her powerful message acts as a reminder to everyone that getting help and asking for guidance is always the answer.
Last year she opened up about her struggles during an interview on 'The Talk'.
