The festive season is well and truly upon us with yet another Christmas movie trailer dropping this week. (On a side note, where the fuck has this year gone?)
As far as Chrissy flicks go, this one actually looks pretty decent. It's called Happiest Season and it stars Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis, as well as Alison Brie (of Mad Men fame), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Dan Levy, Mary Steenburgen, Victor Garber and Mary Holland.
The movie follows Abby (Stewart) whose plans to propose to her girlfriend Harper (Davis) at Harper's family Chrissy dinner are foiled when she finds out Harper hasn't actually come out to her family yet.
"This is why I avoid Christmas," Abby says in one scene. "It brings out the worst in everything." Her mate John (Levy) can later be seen telling her: "Everybody's story is different. Just because Harper isn't ready doesn't mean she doesn't love you."
The flick should grant at least one person their Christmas wish. Last month, Stewart told People, "I think I've wished to see a gay Christmas rom-com my whole life."
Happiest Season will hit Aussie cinemas on November 26.
