FYI, Paris Hilton Has A Documentary On The Way & It Delves Deep Into Her Past

Never spoken about before.

Paris Hilton has said her upcoming doco will see her revealing a deeply personal trauma from her childhood.

In a trailer for YouTube Originals' This is Paris, the socialite, media personality and businesswoman says: “I’m nervous. I’m shaking. It’s hard to even eat because my stomach is just turning. It’s something that’s very personal and not something that I talk about.”

“No one really knows who I am,” she continues. “Something happened in my childhood that I’ve never talked about with anyone. I still have nightmares about it.”

The film’s description touches on the incident too, reading: “As Paris confronts the heartbreaking trauma that forged who she is today, this deeply compelling portrait tells the real story of a teenage girl desperate to escape into a fantasy and sheds new light on the Insta-fame culture that Paris helped to create.”

During an appearance on US talk show The Talk back in March of this year, Paris said making the film made her start to question who she was. She said she “started thinking about my past and what I've been through and realised just how much it's affected my life and how I was holding on to so much trauma for so long."

She went on to say she really hadn’t known herself until this year, and that the filming process had been very therapeutic. "I think when people see this film, they're really going to see a different side to me than they've ever seen before," she said.

This Is Paris will premiere on YouTube Originals on September 14.
