Kim Kardashian Returns To Filming 'KUWTK' Amid Kanye West's Mental Health Crisis

A true professional.

Kim Kardashian is known for her gruelling work ethic, and the 39-year-old proved that yet again when she was spotted keeping up with her Keeping Up With The Kardashians filming commitments, despite husband Kanye West reportedly being in the middle of a mental health crisis.

Kim was papped with Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson (side note: those two have got to be back on) taping the family’s reality show in Malibu on Wednesday last week, the same day she released an emotional statement about her husband’s mental health.

“Kim, Khloe and Tristan spent the afternoon filming at a house in Malibu. The mood was very light and fun. You would not know there was anything going on with Kim by the look of things,” a source told E! (the network KUWTK airs on so we imagine this "source" is legit.) “[Kim] had a big smile on her face and was laughing with Khloe… Kim was very professional and focused.”

Another source said: “Kim only put on a happy face when the cameras were on her to be professional, but when cameras were off of her, she clearly had a lot on her mind and was on her phone a lot clearly dealing with family matters at home."

They added that Kanye’s mental health and the events unfolding in Kim’s home were “completely off limits” for the show. “Kim is being very protective of what information is being shared with the public to protect her children and her family and will not allow it to be used as a storyline for her show," they said.

Kanye posted some pretty intense and private things about his family on Twitter last week. Kanye had claimed Kim was trying to cheat on him with rapper Meek Mill, revealed he’d been trying to divorce Kim since she'd met up with Meek, shared at a campaign rally that he'd considered terminating Kim's first pregnancy and insisted Oscar-winning movie Get Out was about him.

Kim had then released a statement, explaining she'd deliberately never spoken about Kanye's bipolar and how it affected their family in the past because she was protective of their four children and Kanye's right to privacy, but that the stigma and misconceptions about mental health were now driving her to comment.

“As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand,” she said. “Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.”

On Sunday, Kanye took to Twitter again to apologise to Kim about his previous posts, writing: “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Also over the weekend, Kanye was reported by TMZ to have visited a Wyoming hospital to treat his anxiety. He entered the ER room of the hospital but only stayed inside for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, back at his ranch, he then invited four paparazzi into his home. TMZ reported: “They were there for 2 hours – waiting – and Kanye finally came out for a few minutes. We’re told he wanted the photogs to let him ‘control the narrative’. That was pretty much it, and they left.”

Justin Bieber, comedian Dave Chappelle and Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash have all recently visited Kanye in Wyoming.
