All The Shiny New TV Shows & Movies Coming To Stan This October
Hey you! Stan fans! Or should we say, Stan stans? Nope, that's bad. Sorry.
Lockdown or not, it's time to forget about leaving your house... because the Aussie streaming service just has released a full schedule of all the movies and TV shows coming to your devices this very October.
Here are the TV shows and movies we're most looking forward to:
The Holiday (October 17)
You can't go wrong watching Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz casually swap countries, houses and cars before falling for a local back in the days of yore (aka 2006). And while much has been made of Cameron Diaz's romance with Jude Law, I prefer the the more wholesome Kate Winslet-Jack Black pairing. She is way out of his league, though. Obviously.
Brand New World, Season 1 (October 16)
If the Black Mirror hiatus has left a dystopian-shaped hole in your heart, then Brand New World is here to fill the void. I know, I know, we're living a dystopia right? Ha! Probably. But I prefer mine fictional. Based on the famous Aldous Huxley novel, the brand new series is set in 'New London' where monogamy is banned and everyone's drugged out of their minds. Hmm, colour me intrigued.
The Good Lord Bird (Various Oct Dates)
In this limited new TV series, Ethan Hawke plays the controversial American abolitionist, John Brown. The story is told from the point of view of Onion (Joshua Caleb Johnson), a fictional enslaved child. The new series also stars Hamilton's Daveed Diggs playing the role of US abolitionist and reformer Frederick Douglass.
Looks like a chaotic performance from Hawke. Can't wait.
