The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber Just Killed Their Performance Of "Stay" At The MTV VMAs

Nothing could have prepared us for this.

There’s no denying it: The Kid LAROI is the king of the kids. Fuelled by the incredible momentum of last year’s debut mixtape F*CK LOVE, the young Australian world-beater has only kept on killing it in 2021, releasing hit after hit and breaking a zillion chart records in his wake. Nothing, however, could have prepared us for the teenage sensation’s fiery performance of “Stay” alongside Justin Bieber tonight.

Backed by a sensational live band (HUGE shoutout to the bassist on this one), the duo traded their verses while leaping across the Barclays Centre stage, with LAROI looking every bit the rock star as he obliterated his maiden VMAs performance.

As “Stay” concluded with a great blast of pyrotechnics, an overall-clad Bieber remained onstage for a solo rendition of Justice cut “Ghost” which, while still being decent, really came nowhere close to the energy of that first performance. Seriously, can we just book The Kid LAROI for all the VMAs?
