Calvin Harris Reveals Why He Savagely Went In On Taylor Swift On Twitter After Their Breakup
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris may have broken up a year ago, but the Scottish DJ is only now opening up about what went wrong, and explaining why he went in hard on his ex TayTay on Twitter after their breakup.
If you can’t remember what happened, we’ve got you covered. Taylor and Calvin’s relationship initially ended on amicable terms, however turned sour after Tay was spotted making out with Tom Hiddleston right after the pair broke up. Things heated up when Taylor decided to reveal that she co-wrote Calvin’s hit ‘This Is What You Came For,’ prompting Calvin to lash out at the ‘Shake It Off’ singer in the following tweets:
Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though 🤔

I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.

I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do

I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it

Speaking to British GQ in a recent interview, Calvin explained why he “snapped” at the 1989 singer.
“It was completely the wrong instinct,” Calvin admitted. “I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”
Calvin also spoke about struggling to come to terms with his previous relationship with Taylor, telling British GQ: “It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly.”
“The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus,” he said.
“She respected my feelings in that sense. I’m not good at being a celebrity. But when it ended, all hell broke loose,” the superstar DJ admitted.
