Lorde Apologises After Copping Sh*t For Posting 'Whitney Houston' Bathtub Pic

This is another important reason to always think before you post.

Today singer Lorde is copping sh*t after a poorly chosen caption for one of her Instagram pictures.

Yesterday she uploaded an image of a bathtub seemingly letting fans know she was having a day off and she wrote the words, "And iiii will always love you."

The reference to Whitney Houston's hit song, was problematic because of her untimely death in 2012 when she drowned in a bathtub.

Of course the Internet was quick to point this out and immediately slammed the New Zealand singer for the poor choice of words.

Lorde quickly deleted the post and apologised via Instagram stories.

"Extremely extremely poorly chosen quote. I'm so sorry for offending anyone β€” I hadn't even put this together I was just excited to take a bath. I'm an idiot. Love Whitney forever and ever. Sorry again," she wrote.

We are certain this is just a case of not thinking things through but as we said, it's an important reminder to always think before you post.
