WATCH: The OG Cast Of 'Lizzie McGuire' Reunited For A Virtual Table Read & The World Is Good Again

...

In the good news department, the original cast of Lizzie McGuire just reunited for a virtual table read of the show.

Hilary Duff took to insta this morning and surprised fans by posting the 44 minute IGTV reunion vid. In her post she revealed that “this is the first time we were all together-ish in almost 18 years!”  Yikes!

Apparently this week marks the 19th anniversary of the simply iconic episode "Between a Rock and a Bra Place!" For those who don't remember It’s the one where Lizzie’s mum takes her and Miranda bra shopping and she embarrases the sh*t out of them the entire time. ~iconic~

After a super cute intro our girl Hilary introduces all of our fave OG cast members one by one. The reunion featured Hilary, Jake Thomas (Matt McGuire), Hallie Todd (Jo McGuire), Robert Carradine (Sam McGuire), Adam Lamberg (Gordo), Lalaine (Miranda), Davida Williams (Claire), Ashlie Brillault (Kate), Kyle Downs (who played Larry Tudgeman, but was reading David Carradine's lines).

Seriously gutted that the internet's first crush and OG f*ck boi Ethan Craft didn't make an appearance but when Hilary pulled a printed cut out of the animated Lizzie character everything was fine again.

The cast were also joined by the episode writers Nina and Jeremy Bargiel, and former writer and father of Jake Thomas, Bob Thomas, who narrated during the table read.

If you havent got time to watch the whole table read, do yourself a favour a skip to the 6 minute mark. In what is the most wholeseom thing we've seen all year, the entire cast sing the shows theme song. It's serioulsy outta tune but serioulsy cute.

If you havent been following along, plans for the official Lizzie McGuire reboot for Disney+ have seriously been a saga.

Talks for the D+ show first began swirling early this year. Duff, however, in March took to Insta to explain that while she was excited for the reboot, she essentially wanted to make sure that adult Lizzie would be portrayed as, well, an adult.

But Hilary recently confirmed that talks for the Disney+ show are in fact still happening. Woo!

So while we wait for the official reboot to hit D+ we’ll just be here watching old eps on repeat.
