Everyone wants to know what, overnight meme of 2018, "Selfie Kid" was REALLY doing on his phone during Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl Half-Time performance...and now we finally have answers.
Teen Vogue got in contact with "Selfie Kid" AKA 7th grader Ryan McKenna to get to the bottom of it.
The Massachusetts teen revealed, "I was videotaping and had some complications trying to get the camera to work. I was so nervous having Justin Timberlake so close to me."
While he was still fumbling with his phone, the 13-year old said that, ”within seconds all my friends were calling and texting me, saying I was on TV.”
So there you have it. "Selfie Kid" was just struggling to change a camera setting all along.
