Ed Sheeran Confirms He's Tied The Knot With Cherry Seaborn & We Couldn't Be Happier
It's been a long time coming but Ed Sheeran is now officially a married man.
You might remember that in January last year, Ed took to Instagram to announce that he and his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn were engaged.
The British singer-songwriter spoke to iHeartRadio's Charlamagne Tha God in an interview about his new collaborations album 'No.6 Collaborations Project' in which Ed breaks down every song on the album one-by-one.
While discussing 'Remember The Name' which features Eminem and 50 Cent, Sheeran confirmed that him and his wife tied the knot even though the song had been written before the pair were married. The lyrics in question are "Watch how the lyrics in the songs might get twisted / My wife wears red, but looks better without the lipstick."
"It was actually before me and Cherry got married, and I knew that we'd be married by the point that the song came out," Sheeran said. "Someone's gonna hear that and be like, 'Oh, they're married!' I didn't know how that would be construed, but obviously it's already come out."
Sheeran's star-studded collaboration was released on Friday and it's features the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent, Bruno Mars, Khalid, Justin Bieber, Cardi B, Travis Scott; UK acts Stormzy, J Hus, Dave among many others
The 28-year-old told People Magazine that the pair had known each other since they were kids but they didn't star dating until 2015 when Ed invited Cherry to Taylor Swift's Fourth of July party in 2015.
They've really come a long way.
