'The Big Bang Theory' Is Officially Ending & Fans Are Having Mixed Reactions
It's a sad day for fans of the The Big Bang Theory.
It has just been announced that the upcoming 12th season of the TV series will be its last, ending one of the longest-running sitcoms in US history!
"We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory durign the past twelve seasons," Warner Bros. Televsion, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions said in a joint statement.
"We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show's success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close."
Since the show debuted in 2007, it's received 52 Emmy nominations (including 10 wins) and seven Golden Globe nominations...not to mention millions of viewers and some pretty sweet paychecks for the cast. It was reported that in 2017, stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar were all making around $1 million PER EPISODE.
