Prince Harry & Meghan’s Wax Figures Have Been Hastily Removed From Madame Tussauds’ Royal Family Exhibit

...

Note to self: do not cross the British royal family.

A day after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Haz and Megz) announced that they would be stepping back from their duties as 'senior royals' to focus on charity work, become financially independent and live part-time in North America, the wax figurines of the pair at Madame Tussauds in London have been removed from the royal family line-up.

Steve Davies, general manager at the popular attraction, told the BBC about the decision to cart Harry and Meghan’s replicas out of the section. "Alongside the rest of the world we are reacting to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be stepping back as senior royals," he said.

"From today Meghan and Harry's figures will no longer appear in our Royal Family set."

Ooof!! There’s no word yet on where Harry and Meghan’s wax figurines will be placed, either.

The Tussauds diss comes after the royal’s own scathing response to Harry and Meg’s announcement. “Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to sort through,” the Queen’s office wrote in a statement released a few hours after the news broke.

The BBC also reported that the family found out about Harry and Megs’ decision along with the rest of the world yesterday, and feel “hurt” that they weren’t consulted beforehand.

Hold tight: it looks like things could get messy.
