IT'S HERE: BTS Drop 'Dynamite' Song & Music Video & We Love It

They'll perform it at the VMAs.

Happy Friday: K-pop group BTS has dropped their new song, "Dynamite", along with an accompanying music video. Though the Korean-speaking band has dropped tunes with English lyrics included in the past, this is the first all-English song sung by all members.

The hardest part about recording the tune, the group – comprised of band members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin and Jungkook – told USA TODAY via an interpreter, was getting the English pronunciations down. “It was more not hard, but interesting,” Jungkook said. “It was an interesting kind of challenge.”

Back in 2019, BTS told Entertainment Weekly they had no plans to sing in English because they didn’t want to change their “identity”. Then the global pandemic happened. “This is a situation that everybody else around the world is facing, so we just started to explore what can we do right now, what can we do really good?” said Suga.

RM continued, saying creating the song was “like destiny”. “Who would ever think of this pandemic? No meeting, no karaoke, no concerts? Even no walking in the park. So we never expected this song would come fully in English. During the process of making our album … it just came to us."

The group is planning to drop an album later this year, but wanted to release a single first to connect with their “ARMY” (aka fans) and “share some positive energy”, reports Variety. They’ll perform "Dynamite" for the first time live at the 2020 VMAs, their first-ever award-show performance.

So, without further ado, catch BTS's song "Dynamite" ... *drum roll pls*:
