Remember when Jennifer Lopez broke the Internet for the first time for wearing a low low plunge green Versace to the 2000 Grammy Awards? It was the event that practically created Google Images as the search engine was flooded with fans trying to find a pic. We call that iconic.
20 years later and J.Lo has closed Versace’s Spring 2020 show in Milan with a reimagined version of that same dress and ~wow~, no one can pull off a design two decades later like she can.
The runway had Donatella Versace’s voice floating around the room saying, “Google, show me that green Versace dress,” nodding to the astronomical influence of the look. The dress then appeared on Jenny From The Block, alongside the juggernaut designer Donatella as the two closed out the show.
