Gwyneth Paltrow Didn't Know That Samuel L. Jackson Was In The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Look, when you've been in as many movies as Gwyneth Paltrow, it's understandable that you might forget some movies that you made or some stars that you shared the screen with. But, in Paltrow's case, we're growing concerned.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Gwyneth had forgotten that she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now, she has apparently forgotten that Samuel L. Jackson - who played Nick Fury in basically every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie - was apart of the MCU movie at all, despite having several movies with him.
In a recent interview with Empire, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige spoke about that iconic epic scene in Avengers: Endgame where every character from MCU's past came to kick Thanos' scaly, purple behind. But, this movie was filmed before other MCU movies - like Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Avengers: Infinity War were released. So, many of the actors were confused as to why actors they'd never seen in the MCU before were present.
“Tom Holland [was] coming up to me, saying, ‘Is that Michelle Pfeiffer? What is happening?’” he said.
“Gwyneth Paltrow [was] asking why Sam Jackson was there, and the other actors [were] jumping in saying, ‘What are you talking about? He’s Nick Fury! You’ve been in movies with him.’ But it was really something special.”
Gwyneth, honey, are you doing ok? Blink twice if you're not ok. We got you.
