Britney Spears reckons she's in a really good place right now, in case you were wondering.
After displaying some odd behaviour on social media over the last couple of weeks (including posting the same images again and again), fans started to worry she was in trouble. For example, an Instagram user said: "She already posted this a couple days ago with the same caption, something is terribly wrong". Another fan commented "Britney!!! I hope you are okay" in response to a video of the pop princess modelling a bunch of different swimsuits to the tune of "Kokomo" by The Beach Boys.
The situation is by no means new. The star's erratic behaviour on social media has long been a source of concern among fans who suspect her Instagram posts contain coded cries for help.
But in a video posted to Instagram this morning, Britney seemed keen to reassure her fans that everything was a-ok.
"Hi, I know that there have been a lot of comments and a lot of people saying a lot of different things about me, but I just want to let you guys know that I am fine", the singer said. "I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life and I am sending all of you guys a lot of prayers, wishes and a lot of love," she said. Have a gander below.
The video comes amid the broader context of a reignited #freebritney movement critical of the conservatorship order she's been under since 2008. Those who are part of the movement reckon the "Toxic" singer is essentially being held captive by her conservator, aka her old man Jamie Spears. The conservatorship order gives him control of most of Britney's life; from her finances to her kids.
It looks like Britney isn't a fan of the situation herself, and is reportedly looking to have Jamie removed as her conservator in favour of professional 'fiduciary' Jodi Montgomery.
The singer had a win a couple of weeks ago when she won the right to expand her legal team amid the ongoing conservatorship battle with her father.
