You'll Never Guess Who's Taking Over From Tyra Banks As The Host Of 'America's Next Top Model'
There’s a serious rumour swirling around the Interwebz that a famous face is taking over from Tyra Banks, the queen of smize herself as the host of America’s Next Top Model, and believe us when we say that it’ll most likely have you saying “WTF?!” out loud.
Prepare the drumroll, because it’s been reported that Rita Ora (YES, THE SINGER RITA ORA) is the new top dog of ANTM.
If you’re more than a little bit confused about this news, you’ll be glad to know that Rita’s no stranger to reality television, having previously appeared as a judge on the UK versions of The Voice and The XFactor.
As reported by The Sun, Rita is pretty darn chuffed about her new gig.
“Rita is in a dream world as she’s landed the ultimate gig. She’ll be mixing her two passions of fashion and music and taking over from a TV institution in Tyra,” a source told The Sun.
The source also revealed that Rita was chosen to take over from Tyra because the ANTM bosses wanted to, “inject some freshness back into the format” and found that “Rita [was] the ideal new face” to do so.
Despite reports that ANTM would be cancelled earlier this year, the show will now be broadcast on VH1 and it seems like it’ll be transformed into a new and improved modelling show with a bangin’ new host.
For any Tyra fans out there who might be perturbed by this news, you needn’t fear. The ex-supermodel has since announced that she will be staying on as an executive producer for the show.
We have no doubt that Rita will do a smashing job in her new position, but we’ll definitely miss Tyra. Stay fierce, and keep smizing!
