After reports came in yesterday that actress Lena Dunham had ended things with her boyfriend of 5 years, singer Jack Antonoff, she has broken her silence.

The 31-year-old took to Instagram today to share a quote that seemingly proves the relationship ended amicably.

“Starting over is the beautiful moment where you choose yourself,” it read.

She then added her own caption: "forever love".

Whilst we have no idea what has gone on behind closed doors, it looks like she is healing and dealing with this break up in a mature way and respectful way.
