REPORTS: Zac Efron Answers Prayers, Puts Down Offer On House In Byron Bay

Make him an official Aussie already.

Looks like we are this-close to keeping Zac Efron as one of our own, with the actor apparently having “inspected and put in an offer” on a house in Byron Bay, according to the Daily Tele.

Zac, if you somehow weren’t aware, has been living in Byron for the past few months, laying so low he was papped only once: out at a local café.

While there were rumours a couple months ago that he’d “made an inquiry” about buying the place he was supposedly renting, news he actually put down an offer shows he’s serious about a move down under. It’s not clear if the offer was made on the same property he initially inquired about  – called the Boardwalk – but if you're interested, you can peep/drool over it here.

Annoyingly, the Byron local told the Daily Tele Zefron was “outbid at the last minute by a rival buyer.” Rude. Still, though, the source said the American actor is “in love with Byron” and “quite open” about that.

Earlier this month, it came out that after months living down under, the 32-year-old would be heading back to Hollywood at some stage after being cast in a Disney+ remake of Three Men and a Baby. We’re thinking (read: hoping) there’s a good chance he won’t be staying in the US longer than needed.

In an episode of his doco-travel series Down To Earthhe said: “I gotta get out of Hollywood. I’m done. It’s not a place conducive to living a long, happy, mentally-sound life. I love California, I just think that dense population of people and city life is clearly not leading to many centenarians.”

Zefron now, Zefron forever. Happy Monday.
