More Is Revealed About Season 3 Of ‘You’

A fresh new season of the thrilling Netflix series is officially on its way.

Been counting down the days til Netflix drops season three of You? Same. And now, it's looking like that day is getting that much closer with Netflix spilling a heap of fresh deets about it to E! Online.

Let's rewind for a sec: in case you missed it, the third season of the hit series, starring Penn Badgley who plays Joe Goldberg and Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn, was first announced back on January 14 with an official tweet reading: "See you soon, neighbour. YOU S3 is coming."

Previously, the show's co-creator Sera Gamble has also given us some hints of what to expect from the third season. Back in December, she also dropped that the third season might not be the last. "I am not scared at all of saying that we definitely could follow Joe for several more seasons," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "Because we believe in the world that Caroline gave us and we believe in these characters, we just know they'll keep finding really fucked up shit to get into."

The following month, in January, she told Cosmpolitan UK: "I will say that we have an idea for season three that is SO exciting that people talk about it in the [writers'] room every day." A month later, she shared on Instagram that they'd started scriptwriting.

Caroline, of course, being author Caroline Kepnes who wrote the novel series the show is based on. Her first two books of the series are out now, but the third novel has yet to hit shelves – hence the lack of plot line info.

Netflix has yet to announce an official release date, but, should COVID-19 restrictions not impact filming, it should hit the streaming service sometime next year.

In the meantime, we'll leave you with this – a clip of the show without Joe's voice-over. Chilling stuff.
