'Good Vibes Only': Demi Lovato’s Ex Max Ehrich Is Moving On From Their Breakup

Max Ehrich says the chapter on his relationship with Demi Lovato is now fully closed.

Max Ehrich says the chapter on his relationship with Demi Lovato is now fully closed.

Demi Lovato’s ex-fiancé Max Ehrich is back on Instagram, this time telling the world that he’s keen to move on from his recent breakup.

Just a day after Max, 28, dropped that he’d found out about their split at the same time as the rest of the world, the soap actor now appears to have found some inner peace. That was quick! “One chapter finally closed this am,” he wrote on his Story. “And now I turn the page. Focused on wellness, love, God, my family, friends, and my art. Good vibes only.”

The couple got together in March this year, and became engaged on a beach in Malibu in July. News of their breakup hit last week, with a source telling People at the time, “it was a tough decision.”

The amicable messaging wasn't to last long, though, because a day later, Max wrote on his Instagram Story: “Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid.”

Demi’s camp quickly responded with a source telling E! News that Max “is lying” and that “Demi did tell him beforehand.” The source had reckoned Max was kicking up a stink because he was “just trying to stay relevant.” Ouch.

A source told E! their relationship drama really began to flare up when Max left LA to film a project in Atlanta.

“They were arguing a lot and Demi didn’t want him to go without her,” the source said. “There has been a lot of tension and Demi left him to get a clear head.” It was then that she apparently realised “she didn’t know who Max truly was and didn’t think he had good intentions. There were many red flags she was ignoring and trying to turn a blind eye to.”

Also possibly contributing to the breakup is the fact fans recently unearthed old tweets of Max’s in which he spoke about celebrities he had crushed on – one of them being Demi’s former co-star Selena Gomez. There were supposedly old tweets about Ariana Grande and Gigi Hadid too. Awkward.

Demi said the posts were fake, but with Max deleting his Twitter pretty soon after, it seemed a little suss. Man, 2020 is one wild ride.
