Liam Hemsworth Is Not Bothered About Miley Cyrus’ Fresh Comments About Their Failed Marriage

The Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth saga continues.

Saw those Miley Cyrus comments about the Malibu fire and her failed marriage? Liam Hemsworth – the subject of said comments – apparently did too, and he's absolutely, 100%, not bothered.

"Liam Hemsworth isn't upset by the recent interview Miley did where she says there was too much conflict in their marriage," a source from Liam's camp told Entertainment Tonight. "Liam was very hurt when they initially broke up, but he has moved on now and is happy with Gabriella [Brooks]"

Cool. But then came this, which for sure how to be some kind of dig at Miley? "He's very traditional and Gabriella shares the same values as him and gets along with his family," the source said. "Their relationship is easygoing and they have similar upbringings and backgrounds." What on earth?

If you somehow haven't heard about Miley's new interview with Howard Stern, let's get you up to speed. While the "Wrecking Ball" singer's never been one to mince her words about past relationships, she was particularly loose-lipped in this chat, dropping bombs about why she thought their relationship failed, how she feels about Liam these days and how they weren't ever sure they'd actually end up getting hitched.

"We were together since 16," she said. "Our house burned down. We had been like, engaged – I don't know if we really ever thought we were actually going to get married, but when we lost our house in Malibu – which if you listen to my voice pre- and post-fire, they're very different so that trauma really affected my voice."

She went on to say that she'd actually been in South Africa at the time so wasn't able to come home and ended up losing everything, including polaroid pics of Elvis from her friends' grandmas.

Miley continued: "I had so much and it was all gone, every song I had ever written was in that house. Every photograph of me that my parents had given to me, all my scripts, I lost everything. And so in trying to put that back together, instead of going, 'Oh, nature kind of did something I couldn't do for myself; it forced me to let go,' I ran toward the fire. Which is not abnormal, a lot of animals do this and end up dying, like deers run into the forest."

"You're attracted to that heat and me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it, and not wanting to go, you know, 'What could be purposeful about this?' I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him. And I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will."

On her relationship with Liam, Miley said: "There was too much conflict. When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone. I don't get off on drama or fighting."

Also in the interview, she admitted to doing a lot of FaceTime sex as she navigated dating during COVID (yes girl!), chatted about the pressure she felt playing Hannah Montana and how she broke her sobriety during the pandemic. E! News has a good wrap of all the interesting interview bits here, for those who wanna go super deep.
