Literal Lifesaver Lizzo Led A Mass Instagram Meditation To Ease Our Coronavirus Fears

...

It’s pure pandemonium out there, thanks to Coronavirus shutting down every happy thing ever including Lizzo’s Houston Rodeo headlining performance.

But like the forward-thinker she is, she didn’t let that little virus stop her from putting on a live show of sorts!

The ‘Good As Hell’ singer took to her Instagram Live to hold a mass meditation for her 8.4 million followers, in order to relieve some stress surrounding the health crisis.

The half-hour session began with Lizzo flitting her way around her flute, playing soothing tones above a bowl of crystals and incense.

“There's the disease, and then there is the fear of the disease,” she told her audience. “And I think fear can spread so much hatred, and fear can spread so much negative energy, and fear can spread the disease.”

She then presented her mantra: “Fear does not exist in my body. Fear does not exist in my home. Love exists in my body. Love exists in my home.”

The singer empathised with her fans over cancelled events, and feelings of helplessness and isolation while lighting a stick of palo santo – a sacred Spanish wood to cleanse negative energy and welcome good fortune.

“A lot of people are sad right now because a lot of their favourite artists can't play shows, or somebody they know is sick, or they might be sick, or we might be afraid of what this means for life as we know it. And I wanted to take the time today to just do a mass meditation.”

It was a tranquil half hour that you can now sit down and experience through her IGTV at any time to need some anxiety reduction.

“Be safe, be healthy, be vigilant… but don't be afraid,” she finished. “We're in this together and we will get through this together because we always do.”

Hell yeah to that Lizzo! If there’s one good thing to come out of this, it’s this new half-hour guided meditation by our favourite artist.

Maybe she should make a series...
