IKEA Has A Stern Word With Its Customers After A Video Of A Woman Caught Masturbating In Their Showroom Goes Viral
IKEA have confirmed facts that we assumed should really go without saying: it's not cool to masturbate in their showrooms. They laid this news-but-not-news out recently in a very firm press release after a video of a woman touching herself in-store went viral.
The video was apparently filmed in an IKEA store in China and seems to show a woman um, pleasuring herself on various pieces of display furniture as other oblivious shoppers walk right on by, reports Insider.
Screenshots of the clip started doing the rounds on socials around the world on Tuesday, prompting IKEA's reminder that um, yeah, that’s really not ok.
"We resolutely oppose and condemn this kind of behaviour, and immediately reported it to the police in the city of the suspected store," the company said in a statement according to AFP. The presser also mentioned that it would add "even more careful security and public cleanliness measures" and asked customers to "browse stores in an orderly and civilised way".
It's not known exactly which store in China the video was shot at, but many reports reckon it was in the city of Guangzhou. It’s also believed the video was likely shot before COVID-19 as none of the other shoppers are wearing masks and quite a few IKEAs there are now closed. Some on social media have claimed that the woman in the video is a porn star known as Fullfive, although her identity hasn't been confirmed yet.
So, what have we all learnt? Don't f*ck with (or at) IKEA: they do not take kindly to it.
