In an effort to help shake those iso blues, we'e gone live with a special new mini-series called, MTV Unplugged At Home. 

Aussie singer, songwriter and undisputed stone cold fox, Cody Simpson, kicked things off today by gifting us mere mortals a front row seat to a simply stunning acoustic performance featuring some of his brand new music. Feelin' ~blessed~.

In case you haven't tuned in just yet, here's a little taster of what you can expect with the 5 times Cody Simpson made us absolutely melt during his performance.  

The Fact That He Is Now A Literal Poet.

Sweet boi Cody has just released a complete book of poetry making him a certified triple threat Singer/Songwriter/Poet.

The first track he graced us with ‘Captains Dance With The Devil’ is the accompanying track to his book of poetry titled ‘Prince Neptune’.  Spoiler: It’s randy as hell. And we are HERE FOR IT. 

Just a couple of weeks back, Prince Neptune himself jumped on Insta Live with GF Miley Cyrus to serenade her with a poem he wrote for her.  

Could these two get any bloody cuter?!?!?!

Treat yourself and pick up a copy of the poetry or better still Cody has recorded an audio book of him reading every goddamn page so you can pretend that he’s whispering sweet nothings into your ear before you sleep.

He Plays Guitar. 'Nuff Said.

What is it about guys who can play guitar that just makes them like 75% hotter than anyone else on the planet? 

There is just something about a low key guy strumming away on an acoustic jam that brings on an overwhelming urge to tear his clothes off. Science, please explain. 

Time literally stood still while that lovely fella from the Gold Coast played his new song 'Castle Walls'.

That’s literally it. He just looks fresh AF with that new buzz. 

And tbh we could honestly just stare at that face all day long and be totally fine with that. 

His Perfectly Mashed Up Accent  

Apparently Aussie accents are one of the sexiest in the world and boy or boy did Cody make us a believer. 

Normally it’s annoying when an aussie celeb heads to the states and all of a sudden sounds like a born and raised New Yorker, but not on Cody. There is something about the way that his Aussie accent has moulded with the smooth American inflection that just melts like butter. 

Like a biiiiiiig stick of butter. 

Every Lyric In His Song ‘Golden Thing’ That He Wrote About Miley Cyrus  

Our heart just melted when he sang the lyrics “Crystal dream, Cali queen, Radiant hand, Vibrant sand, I'm shot, It's a golden thing she's got” cause you know these words are meant for one girl.  

There ain't many things sexier than a guy shouting to the rooftops how much he loves his girl. The love he has for Miley is palpable, you could just see it in his eyes. 

And it seems like Miley feels the same way. In a recent interview with People magazine Cody revealed that Miley wanted everyone to hear this song  “She was like, ‘If you don’t put this s— out, I’m putting it out on your behalf for you. I’m getting your Spotify login and doing this — myself,’” said Simpson.

Girl - we love your conviction and we have a feeling this won't be the last time Cody writes a song about the Malibu babe.
