Sadly, 2018 isn't off to a great start so far.

According to E! News, Lena Dunham has split with her rocker boyfriend Jack Antonoff after a whopping FIVE years together.

Sources told the publication, "Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship where it was."

"They want the best for each other no matter what. They are both moving on," the source added.

To make things even MORE heartbreaking, Lena admitted to The Times earlier this year that she often felt under pressure from other people to be the "perfect partner."

"Even if you're a woman without children, there's so often an expectation that you're going to go to work, and be the perfect partner to your boyfriend, and show up cheerfully as all of his work drinks, and remember everyone's birthday, and get to every baby shower, and take care of the cat, and make sure you have toilet paper. It's just too much," she said.

It's been a tough year for Lena, who cancelled her Lenny tour after suffering endometriosis complications, and underwent her fifth operation for the disease last April.
