REPORTS: There Are A Few Reasons Why Kylie & Travis Are Likely Never Getting Back Together
For whatever reason, we’re rather invested in Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott's relationship. It could’ve been that home video montage Jenner shared when she gave birth to the couple’s baby, Stormi. Or it might’ve been the many romantic gestures Scott did for Jenner, documented via the reality star's Instagram. Reasonings aside, we’re keen for any new deets on its status, and today we got one.
It's not exactly the update we were after though. Let's break it down: last week, pics of the two leaving a club in LA (and therefore breaking social distancing), which fans clearly concluded as a positive sign that the pair were one step closer to getting back together. But apparently, they spoke too soon, with new reports claiming that the couple are firmly still just friends and co-parents, and will likely remain that way. Why? They're better as friends.
"Kylie and Travis get along. They enjoy hanging out with the same people. And they obviously spend a lot of time together with Stormi," a source told People after the pics surfaced. "Being co-parents seems to be working out better for them than being in a romantic relationship."
After two years together, the couple decided to take a break from their relationship in October last year. At the time, Jenner tweeted: “Travis and I are on great terms. Our main focus right now is Stormi. Our friendship and our daughter is a priority.”
Back in February (months after their split was confirmed) Kylie spoke candidly to Harper's Bazaar and confirmed that they're on great terms, but very much apart. “We have such a great relationship,” Kylie said. “We’re like best friends. We both love Stormi and want what’s best for her. We stay connected and coordinated. I think about [my parents] in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi.”
The makeup mogul is currently in the US state of Wyoming celebrating her half-niece, North West’s seventh birthday with half-sisters Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian and their kids.
By travelling out of state (and during Kylie's aforementioned club visit) the KarJenners are breaching coronavirus lockdown restrictions, and opening up themselves and others to increased risk of contracting the virus. The family's home state of California is currently under a shelter-in-home order, which asks all residents to stay at home except for permitted errands, work and other essential reasons.
