Lizzo Fires Shots At TikTok For Deleting Her Bikini Videos & Says She Knows Exactly Why

...

Besides delivering us bangers like 'Love Hurts' and 'Juice', Queen Lizzo has taught us some incredibly valuable lessons on self-love. She's got confidence by the bucket-load and it's damn infectious.

In recent weeks the Grammy Award winner has taken to Tik Tok like a duck to water, poppin' off videos left, right and centre. Basically, just another platform for us to obsess over her. But it might not be all peaches and cream after the 31-year-old accused the social networking app of censoring her by removing her videos.

Lizzo took to Tik Tok (of all places) to call them out for deleting her bikini uploads.

While singing "I know" repeatedly she used the captions “TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” and “allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why? TikTok we need to talk."

Exposing them on their own damn platform. Shady as all hell and we're here for it.

Lizzo has long been a champion of the ~love every body~ movement, working hard to challenge double standards - why should one body type be deemed appropriate and another not?

Back in December she caused an uproar when she attended an LA Lakers game, wearing a "thong dress" with the backside cut out. Among the naysayers came a deluge of bodyshaming trolls who told her she shouldn't be wearing such a revealling outfit because of her size.

In response she took to Instagram and said: "I don't ever want to censor myself because I’m suddenly famous, and I don't want to censor myself because everyone's looking at me now. I'm not going to quiet myself. I'm not going to shrink myself because somebody thinks that I'm not sexy to them."

And with that comes an all too important point: don't ever change for somebody else. We have come so far with the body positivity movement, it would be a shame to regress at this point.

Trolls are one thing, but when major brands (ahem, Tik Tok) start censorsing people, that really sends a dangerous message to young people.

Bring back the Lizzo bikini videos, it's what the people want and need.
