Felicity Huffman Has Been Sentenced To A Whopping 14 Days In Prison For College Bribery Scandal

-

Actress Felicity Huffman has received her sentence for her role in the infamous college bribery scandal that made world news, and it involves literally two weeks in prison. Two weeks.

She's also been hit with a $30,000 USD fine - her net worth is reportedly $45 million USD - as well as 250 hours of community service and a year of supervised release.

The Desperate Housewives star made a tearful appearance in court, as reported by news.com.au, saying that what she did was stupid and acknowledged the severity of what she did.

"I was frightened. I was stupid, and I was wrong,” Huffman said.

“I am deeply ashamed of what I have done. I have inflicted more damage than I could ever imagine. At the end of the day I had a choice to make. I could have said ‘no’.”

Back in May, Huffman plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud, having admitted to paying to have her daughter's exams rigged.

She wasn't the only actress caught out, though. Lori Loughlin, who has yet to have her fate sealed, was also identified as someone involved, which is particularly biting considering her daughter, Olivia Jade, had made a whole YouTube career out of being in college - only to discover she was there on illegitimate grounds.
