If he was a little perplexed by Lady Gaga’s Grammy performance, David Bowie’s son is at least a fan of how Lorde honored his dad at the Brit Awards.

Yesterday, Lorde took the stage to sing “Life On Mars” in tribute to the late, great rock star who passed away in January at the age of 69. 

Bowie’s son Duncan Jones tuned in to the live stream and was blown away by what he saw. “Just… beautiful,” he tweeted. “Thank you.”

This morning, Lorde revealed on Twitter how nervous she was before going onstage — until she imagined herself singing directly to Bowie.
