HBO has released an exclusive trailer of the much-anticipated Kurt Cobain documentary, Montage of Heck, set to release this May.  

The trailer only goes for 2 and a half minutes, but puts chills up the spine in the first few seconds.

Audiences are given a glimpse of the hidden side of Kurt, a side fans have dreamed of seeing since he first set foot on the stage.

The doco, directed by Brett Morgen, is filled with home footage of Kurt from childhood to stardom

The trailer also includes inside footage of his family; wife, Courtney Love, and the daughter he was so protective of, Frances Bean, who is now 22-years-old.

Courtney Love recently spoke out on The David Letterman show saying, “It's very moving. I've seen it now three times, and I'm probably not going to see it again. It's too much.”

This April will be the 21st anniversary of Kurt’s death, and this trailer gives hint of a film that has Cobain and Nirvana fans believing it has been worth the wait!
