Jimmy Fallon Playing Nicolas Cage Playing Joe Exotic Is The Best Thing You’ll See Today
Days ago it was confirmed Nicolas Cage was set to play Joe Exotic in an upcoming Tiger King series adaptation, and we were like, ‘okay we’ll play along’.
But then Jimmy Fallon came along and gave us some “sneak footage” of “Cage” playing Joe Exotic and we were REALLY like , 'okay this could actually work!'
In the clip which aired on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’s’ YouTube page, a very suspect looking “Nicolas Cage” is all dressed up in those iconic Exotic-isms: the monster two-tone mullet, the rude handlebars, the speedies, the loud printed shirt, the chains. Oh boy, it’s like an exact Exotic doppelgänger alright.
So the vid opens with “Cage” yelling: “My name is Joe Exotic and welcome to the GW Zoo!” and laughing.
But wait...
...hang on a minute all you cool cats and kittens, that’s NOT Nicolas Cage. That is Jimmy Fallon! Yep, it’s actually Fallon playing Nicolas Cage playing Joe Exotic. Woowee, what a tongue-twister but we got there.
In the hilarious vid, Fallon does a pretty bang-up job playing someone playing someone else. But he really nails that er, Exotic charm.
“Tonight’s show goes out to Carole Baskin! “You think you’re better than me because you own a tiger rescue? And I run a sketchy zoo that’s running out of meat?”
Ah, the LOLs.
He even pokes the bear (or tiger) regarding Exotic’s polygamist relationship with two straight men. “I’m marrying two men at once,” he yells. “Not only am I the Tiger King, but I’m also the King of Husbands!”
Just another piece of hilarious Joe Exotic content to keep us happy until this new series comes out, all we can say is thank god for Jimmy Fallon and his truly excellent parodies.
