2020 Can Go Do One 'Coz Apparently Cara Delevingne & Ashley Benson Have Broken Up
Our OTP Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson have reportedly broken up and quite frankly, this is a day for mourning.
They were a couple that had the world in a healthy round of applause when we all found out our favourite supermodel and Pretty Little Liars actress were together.
But now, People reports that they are finito after close to two years together.
Multiple sources confirmed to the publication that Cara, 27, and Ashley, 30, went separate ways back in April when their spark fizzled out – nothing dramatic, just a change of heart.
“Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it's over now,” a source said. “Their relationship just ran its course.”
The pair were first linked back in August 2018, when they were photographed kissing in front of London’s Heathrow airport, and have been pretty public about their romance since.
In October last year, Cara shared with ELLE UK how her life in love has evolved.
“It just feels incredible when you’re not alone, when you’re facing the world with someone else,” she said. “I don’t want to be so secretive that people think I’m ashamed of anything. But I’ve never been in a relationship where things are so public, or where I posted pictures of someone else. This seemed different. We had gotten to the point where we had kept it a secret, or at least not wanted attention, and now I feel like I’m not going to not be proud.”
We’re honestly honoured that we got a little insight into their relationship over its course, from sappy Insta posts about “watching [Ash] grow into the woman that you always dreamt of being,” as Cara wrote in her 30th birthday tribute, to quality TikToks together.
At the end of the day, we’re glad they’re on good terms by the sounds of things and we wish them all the best.
