Are Harry Styles And Olivia Wilde Dating?
And the first rumoured couple of 2021 is – drum-roll please – Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles.
The actress who split with Jason Sudeikis (father to her children and now-lapsed fiancé) in 2020 was photographed holding hands at a wedding last weekend with none other than a suited-up Styles.
And from the looks of it, it certainly does seem like there's a least something going on between them. In the pics, taken at a wedding at a ranch in California last weekend, Styles looks to be holding a tipple, a black book and some kind of black silky goodie bag in one hand while clutching Wilde's with the other. (I know it's not the point, but how do you hold all that stuff in just one hand? Truly, what can't Harry Styles do?)
In some other snaps from the day, he can be seen in a white robe and slippers, chatting with the bride and groom and posing for photos. The fact he's holding the black book to his chest in those pics, plus with the fact he's getting solo shots with the couple, does seem to suggest he officiated the wedding. Because of course he did.
But back to Styles and Wilde – a mysterious source apparently told E! News the two had acted "couple-y" at the wedding and stayed at the same hotel overnight before heading back to LA. Separately, another source spilled that there's been something going on between them "for a little while" and that their inner circle had known about it for a few weeks. Bit rude to not share the news with us personally, but we'll take it on the chin.
"They shared a room and did everything together," a seperate source reportedly disclosed. "They had a great time and are very happy."
Back in September last year, Styles had replaced troubled actor Shia LeBeouf on Wilde's upcoming psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling. Wilde recently chatted to Vogue about the film – which she's both directing and producing – saying she and costume designer Arianne Phillips had been super keen to land the British singer for the project.
"She and I did a little victory dance when we heard that we officially had Harry in the film, because we knew that he has a real appreciation for fashion and style," Wilde said. "I'm really grateful that he is so enthusiastic about that element of the process – some actors just don't care."
Then, with the whole Candace-Owens-calling-out-Harry-for-wearing-a-dress saga at the end of last year, Wilde again sang his praises.
"To me, he's very modern and I hope that this brand of confidence as a male that Harry has – truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity – is indicative of his generation and therefore the future of the world," she told Vogue.
That's right, the future of the world.
