Everyone! Please stop doing your lives for a second and listen up, because Aussie streaming service Stan just released their September line-up. That’s right, line-up: it’s like a music festival, but at your house. BYO snacks. Alright fine, you can get UberEats, relax.

Here are a few highlights to whet your appetite: 

1. Paddington (September 4)

Look, a lot has been said about Paddington 2 but what would Paddington 2 be without the OG? Bloody nothing, am I right? Sigh. I dunno.

It's also like, the best Nicole Kidman movie ever. Honestly, she makes a great villain – and as we all seem to dislike her right now, it’s timely viewing.

2. Desus & Mero (various Sept dates) 

I would highly recommend getting across this NYC-based talk show if you haven’t yet had the chance. The first time I watched it I was hooked. It’s hosted by Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, who originally hosted a podcast together. I'm not sure why I find their banter so enjoyable – it's very silly, funny and different. I hope to hang out with them one day. Check out their take on that now-infamous Axios interview below. 

3. Be Kind, Rewind (September 7) 

This movie fell under the radar when it came out in 2008 but it’s a nice, wholesome way to while away a couple of hours. It’s directed by Michel Gondry (the French director the Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep), and stars lots of cool people like Jack Black, Mos Def and Sigourney Weaver. It's all very cute, quirky and low-fi. 

Is anyone else super into Jack Black lately? I watched Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle the other day (don't judge me, I'm in lockdown) and his performance blew me away.
