Did Kim And Kanye Just Get Re-Married Or What?
While Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s relationship has come with its fair share of twists and turns, I didn’t think that Kim turning up in a wedding dress to Kanye’s third (and we assume final) listening party would be one of them.
Yep, you’ve probably heard that Kim participated in the event wearing a Balenciaga wedding gown and face veil as Kanye’s track “No Child Left Behind” blared over the speakers. Here are some behind-the-scenes snaps that Kim shared to her Instagram page.
As we know, Kim and Kanye filed for divorce back in February 2021 and have four children together – North West, Psalm West, Saint West and Chicago West.
Does this mean Kim and Kanye are back together?
With Kanye’s rumoured relationship with Irina Shayk reportedly out of the way and – you know – Kim appearing to re-marry Kanye in full view of a global audience, it makes sense that rumours that the two are back together have started to swell.
But sources say their on-stage wedding was just a performative flourish. “West asked Kardashian to be a part of his performance art for the album event”, the source told ET Canada. “They have always supported each other’s endeavours and have always collaborated and will continue to.”
Another source told People that the faux-wedding represented the power of love as a “healing force” that “moves everything forward and into a new phase”. Nice.
That said, the two were photographed holding hands as they left the event, so who could say for sure? My guess is that they're leaving the door open to possibly, hopefully, eventually re-unite.
Why was Kim Kardashian's Instagram story so swiftly deleted?
Oh yes, apparently Kanye’s ever-supportive ex Kim took to Instagram stories to show she had been listening to Kanye’s New album on Spotify but accidentally shared that she was listening to DONDA on mute; much to the internet's delight.
She has since deleted the Instagram story, but as we know: the internet never forgets.
Does this matter?
In the grand scheme of things? Look, probably not. But what else is there to do right now but ruminate on celebrity relationship statuses? I rest my case.
