Kanye West And Irina Shayk Will Always Have Provence
It seems like a lifetime ago, but it was just two months ago that Kanye West and Irina Shayk were spotted traipsing around the French region of Provence; a development that Kim Kardashian memorably reacted to with indifference. So I think I speak for everyone when I ask: what happened with those two, anyway?
We’ve barely heard a whiff of gossip since news broke about the rumoured couple, but according to the likes of Us Weekly, People, Elle and ET Online, the two have called their dalliance quits.
One source said to Us Weekly: “Kanye and Irina are over, but they never really started”, which I think is a Robert Smith lyric, adding “there’s nothing really going on there”. Oh.
Another source told ET Online that the two were never really a couple, anyway. "The two of them have always just been having fun together. They're both doing their own thing and down to have a good time without any strings attached," they explained, with yet another source revealing to the same publication: "Kanye and Irina are just keeping things casual and friendly. Irina isn't looking for anything serious right now and is enjoying being single." I’m sensing a through line, here.
Kanye West has been famously busy working on his new never-quite-released album, DONDA, so all of this checks out. “Kanye has been busy working and spending time with his kids,” reports People. This is his focus. He doesn't have time to date right now. He finds Irina amazing though. They remain friendly.”
There you have it, folks. According to reports, nothing was really going on anyway, but now it’s definitely nothing. In any case, they’ll always have Provence.
